Allen E Goodson Jr.

            65 year old Allendale resident, Allen E. Goodson Jr. passed away Friday afternoon, October 4, 2019 at his residence.

            Allen was born Nov. 19, 1953 in Olney, Illinois.  He was the son of Allen “Bud” Goodson Sr. and Lois Jean (Simms) Goodson.  He married Audrey Renee Butler on December 13, 1986 in West Frankfort, Illinois and she survives. Allen had been a teacher at Allendale Elementary school. He was a member of Orio Presbyterian Church near Allendale.

            Allen is survived by his wife, Renee; one son, Scott (Shelby) Goodson of Centralia, Illinois and one daughter, Chelsea Goodson of Lafayette, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Roman.

            Per Allen’s wishes, cremation was afforded and the family will hold a celebration of life visitation on Saturday, Oct. 19th at the Allendale Ruritan Building from 3 to 6pm.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.nalesfuneralhome.com.  Nale’s Funeral Home of Albion is assisting the family.
