Connie Williams Eikenhorst

80 year old Fairfield, Illinois resident Connie Williams Eikenhorst passed away 4:37 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. Connie served as a secretary at the Browns School, Edwards County High School and Dr. Stevens Chiropractic Clinic.

Connie was born December 29, 1937 in Edwards County, Illinois to Conrad and Beulah (Mason) Bunting. She was previously married to Wilbur Short and Gerald Williams, both preceding her in death. On November 26, 2014 she married Joe W. Eikenhorst in Fairfield, Illinois and he survives.

Connie is survived by her husband, Joe Eikenhorst of Fairfield, Illinois. One son, Marlon Short and his wife Elaine of Browns, Illinois. One daughter, Janet Rennels of Evansville, Indiana. One step son, Jeffrie Eikenhorst and his wife Melissa of Fairfield, Illinois. Five step daughters, Connie Smith and her husband Terry of Fairfield, Illinois, Lorrie Eikenhorst in Oregon, Laura Lowery of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, Vickie French of Fairfield, Illinois and Diana Burke of Mt. Vernon, Illinois. Two sisters, Wanda Willhouser and husband Jerry of Olney, Illinois and Dixie Meurer of Arizona. Five grandchildren, Nathan Short and his wife Jeanne, Brycen Short and his wife Stefanie, Makaela Short, Micah Rennels and his wife Jill and Abby Buttrum and her husband Sky. Four great grandchildren, Max, Bria, Adelyn and Violet. Several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and two brothers, Warren and Max.

Funeral services for Connie Williams Eikenhorst will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Victory Outreach Christian Center in Fairfield, Illinois with Bro. George Musgrave officiating. Burial will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery at Samsville, Illinois.

Visitation will be held 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday December 6, 2018 at the Church.

Memorials may be given to the Victory Outreach Christian Center and will be accepted at the church or Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield.
