Theresa R (Frodge) Ukena

            67 year old Geff resident, Theresa R. Frodge Ukena, passed away Sunday night, September 22, 2019 at Cisne Rehab & Health Care Center in Cisne.

            Theresa was born June 8, 1952 in Urbana, Ohio to Harold and Zelma (Tackett) Frodge. She married Kevin Ukena on October 15, 1983 at Fairfield’s Church of the Nazarene and he survives. Theresa had worked as a CNA for various facilities including Clay County Hospital and Way-Fair, and was most recently a personal caregiver at Cisne Rehab and Health Care Center in Cisne. She attended Fairfield Fountain of Life Church of the Nazarene. Theresa enjoyed singing, playing the piano and scrabble games, reading, crocheting and spending as much time as possible with her beloved family, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

            Theresa is survived by her husband, Kevin; two daughters, B.J. Goodman and fiancé Jeremy Milner of Cisne, Illinois and Lindsey Spicer and fiancé Elijah Phoenix of Fairfield, Illinois; three sons, Josh Ukena of Flora, Illinois, Doug Ukena of Geff, Illinois and Tim and his wife Stevey Ukena of Fairfield, Illinois; two brothers, Adrian and wife Nancy Frodge of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and Joe and wife Robin Frodge of Colorado Springs, Colorado; three sisters, Cristi and husband Duane Gwaltney of Golconda, Illinois, Evie Springmeyer of Albion, Illinois and Gina and husband David Waldrop of Fairfield, Illinois; 11 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.  Preceding Theresa in death were her parents, three sisters, Martha Pope, Karen Kellerman and Cindy Swack, one son, Aaron Frodge, and one brother, Cameron Frodge.

            Funeral services for Theresa Ukena will be held at 2pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with Rev. Norlyn Crandall officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday from noon until the time of service. Burial will follow in Bestow Cemetery in Geff.   Memorials may be given to Fairfield Fountain of Life Church of the Nazarene and will be accepted at the funeral home.
