66-year-old Allen D. Taylor of Albion, Illinois died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday July 7, 2012 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, Illinois. He was a retired employee of Champion Laboratories and a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Flora, Illinois. Allen was born October 7, 1945 in Cisne, Illinois to Donald and Isabelle Leathers Taylor. He was united in marriage September 2, 1972 in Flora, Illinois to Karen Winters. Survivors include his wife Karen Winters Taylor of Albion, his mother Isabelle Leathers Taylor of Cisne, a son James R. Taylor in Illinois, a daughter Annette Taylor of Albion, 3 brothers Jim Taylor of Rinard, Bill Taylor of Cisne, and Ernie Taylor of Mt. Vernon, a sister Linda Windland of Wayne City, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, and in-laws. His father and grandparents preceded Allen in death. Graveside services will be conducted at a later date at the Johnsonville Cemetery with Rev. Jim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be conducted from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion. Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.
