Anita F. (Jones) Winter

82 year old Ellery resident, Anita Winter, passed away at Fairfield Memorial Hospital on Monday, June 12, 2023.

Anita was the daughter of Roscoe and Alice (Simms) Jones.

Anita first married Larry Hodges in May of 1961, Larry preceded her in death on August 15, 1965. She later married Jay Winter in October of 1974.  He also preceded her in death on May 3, 2008.Anita retired from Airtex Products in Fairfield.

She is survived by 1 son; Berry Hodges of Ellery, 1 daughter; Sherry (Donnie) Greathouse of West Salem, 2 step sons; Jeff (Regina) Winter of Fairfield and Greg (Chris) Winter of Ellery. 2 brothers; Ron (Pam) Jones of Fairfield and Leroy (Phyllis) Jones of Benton, IL.  2 sisters; Janet (Lonnie) Williams of Bone Gap and Janis Dunn of Fairfield. 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Anita is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, 1 brother Randy and 1 sister Eileen Scott.

Graveside services for Anita Winter will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Bethel Cemetery near Ellery. Visitation will held Friday morning, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion.

Memorials may be given to the Bethel Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion.
