Dale was born November 14, 1938 in Albion, Illinois to James A. and Rowena Smith Colbert. He was united in marriage October 2, 1959 in Albion, Illinois to Sue Colbert. Survivors include his wife Sue Colbert of Albion, Illinois; 1 son Bill D. Colbert and his wife Sheila of Albion, Illinois; 1 daughter Dina Colbert of Albion, Illinois; a brother Jack Colbert and his wife Tammy of Albion, Illinois; 4 grandchildren Logan Colbert, Savannah Giese, Mariah Charles, and Alex Weedon; and 1 great grand Ava Giese. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. Services for Arlen Dale Colbert will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery of Albion, Illinois. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Edwards County Senior Citizens organization or the American Cancer Society and envelopes will be available at Nales Funeral Home in Albion.
