Barbara L. Vaughan

89-year-old former Fairfield, Illinois resident Barbara L. Vaughan of Newburgh, Indiana died at 1:25 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013 at her daughter's home in Newburgh. Se was a computer operator for Ball Plastics for over 40 years and volunteered for numerous organizations in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. Barbara was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Evansville, Indiana. Barbara was born September 15, 1923 in Logansport, Indiana to George H. and Zora Small Taylor. She was united in marriage in September of 1945 in Morganfield, Kentucky to James Earl Vaughan who preceded her in death on July 27, 1992. Survivors include 1 son James Earl Vaughan, Jr. of Evansville, Indiana; 1 daughter Melissa Vaughan of Newburgh, Indiana; a sister Marietta Jones of Newburgh, Indiana; 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and a caregiver Michael Jones of Newburgh, Indiana. Barbara was preceded in death by her wife husband, her parents, 1 infant daughter, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Graveside services for Barbara L. Vaughan will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
