Bernadine Watson, 96, of Fairfield passed away early Friday morning, August 7, 2020 at Aperion Care.
Bernadine was born May 26, 1924 in Mill Shoals to William C. and Carrie E. (Hutchcraft) Mossburger. She married Robert H. Watson on October 17, 1953 in Olney and they enjoyed nearly 65 years together before his passing on October 12, 2018.
Bernadine had worked 42 years on the production line and as an inspector at Airtex Products. She was a member of the Fairfield First Baptist Church. Bernadine thoroughly enjoyed being outside in her big yard or sitting on her swing talking about and praying for her precious children and grandchildren. Her favorite activity was to push mow her yard several times a week. A task she continued to do until three years ago. During the winter she would not only shovel snow from her driveway but would do the neighbors as well “just for fun”. She loved to keep busy and will be missed by many.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are daughter, Glenna Crane of Fairfield; son, Victor (Andrea) Watson of Huntsville, Illinois; Two sisters, Mary Holmes and Eva Marvel both of Fairfield; Eleven Grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, seventeen great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Preceding Bernadine in death were her parents, husband Bob, daughter Carol June Keen, three brothers, Virgil, Charles, and Everett Mossburger and three sisters, Mina Huey, Hester Harl, and Evelyn Anthis.
