87-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Bill D. Musgrave died 12:40 a.m. Sunday October 14, 2012 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, Illinois. He was the owner and operator of a gas station and trucking company for several years. He was also a member of the King's Chapel Church where he served as a Sunday School teacher for over 30 years. Bill served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Bill was born September 21, 1925 in Burnt Prairie, Illinois to C. W. and Mary Fleming Musgrave. He was united in marriage to Mary Hunsinger on July 4, 1943. Survivors include a son Doug Musgrave and his wife Charis of Fairfield; a daughter Barbara Vaughn and her husband Melvin of Fairfield; a sister Mary Lou Davis of Springfield, Illinois; 4 grandchildren Aaron Musgrave and his wife Courtney, Ryan Musgrave, Valerie Musgrave, and Brandon Vaughn and his wife Karie; and 1 great grandchild Maggie Musgrave. His parents, wife, and a brother Emmitt preceded Bill in death. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield with Brother Lawrence Ward officiating. Burial will be in Burnt Prairie Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 176 and Wayne Memorial VFW Post 4535. Visitation will be conducted at the funeral home Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the King's Chapel Church and envelopes are available at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.
