75-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident, Billie Mac Blackford, died 8:41 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2011 at Wayfair Restorium in Fairfield. He was a retired employee of Airtex Products and attended the Mill Shoals Gospel Assembly Church. Billie Mac was born December 14, 1936 in Mill Shoals to Lewis and Flossie Opal Bond Blackford. On April 22, 1988 he was united in marriage to Gayala Walters in Paducah, Kentucky. Survivors include his wife Gayala Blackford of Fairfield; 3 sons Cal Blackford of Fairfield, Scott Alligood and his wife Emma of Dacula, Georgia, and Michael Alligood and his wife Kathy of Metcalf, Illinois; 5 daughters Brenda Qualls and her husband Richard of Decatur, Illinois, Opal Decker and her husband Clyde of Hasty, Arkansas, Lisa Yancey and her husband Ralph of Harrison, Arkansas, Jackie Haas and her husband Sam of Albion, Illinois, and April McGill and her husband Tim of Panama City Beach. Florida; 1 sister Elouise Carlock of Mill Shoals, Illinois as well as 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services for Billie Mac Blackford will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Gospel Assembly Church in Mill Shoals, Illinois with Brother John Reed officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, January 22, 2012 from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service at the Gospel Assembly Church in Mill Shoals. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Mill Shoals Gospel Assembly Church.
