Carl Paul

82-year-old Geff, Illinois resident Carl Paul died 9:00 a.m. Friday August 24, 2012 at his residence. He was a self-employed painter and a veteran of the Korean Conflict. Carl was born May 29, 1930 in Wayne County, Illinois to Fred and Veda Harl Paul. He was united in marriage to Nancy Carter on October 4, 1973 at Cisne, Illinois. Survivors include his wife Nancy, 1 son William Paul of Geff, 2 brothers Ed Paul of Fairfield, Illinois and Eldon Paul in Missouri; 1 sister Genieve Cashen of Fairfield, Illinois. His parents and 5 brothers preceded Carl in death. Graveside services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Ebenezer Cemetery east of Fairfield with Brother Richard Brown officiating. The Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 176 and Wayne Memorial VFW Post 4535 will conduct full military rites. Visitation will be conducted from 11:00 a.m. to the time of the services Monday, August 27, 2012 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield.
