Carol Jean Bailey

71 year old Burnt Prairie resident, Carol Jean Bailey passed away at her residence on Monday, May 29, 2023.

Carol was born June 3, 1951 to Walter D. “Pat” and Jennie (Hollinger) Bailey Sr. in Fairfield, Illinois. She had worked for S.E. Missouri Power in Springfield, Missouri as a Power Scheduler.

She is survived by her parents, Walter D. “Pat” and Jennie Bailey Sr. of Fairfield, Illinois. Brothers;  Phillip K. (Dana) Bailey of Fairfield, Illinois, Walter D. Bailey Jr. of Carbondale, Illinois,Sisters; Janice L. (Ed) Dees of Fairfield, and Patricia A. (Ed) Hoke of Carbondale, Illinois. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Carol is preceded in death by her daughter Ora V. Wheeler

The body will be cremated per her wishes and there will not be any services at this time.
