80-year-old Mt. Vernon, Indiana resident Carson Walker Harl died Friday morning, September 6, 2013 at his residence. He retired from Bristol Myers in 1994 after which he served as the proprietor of The Roundabout for 12 years. Carson was born September 11, 1932 in Burnt Prairie, Illinois to Joseph and Minnie Walker Harl. He was united in marriage to Hester Harl and they have been married for 62 years. Survivors include his wife Hester Harl of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; 1 son Randy Harl and his wife Patricia of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; 1 sister Ruby Schell of Dahlgren, Illinois; and 1 grandson Jody Harl and his wife Becca. Carson was preceded in death by his parents and 1 grandson Aaron in 2012. Graveside services for Carson Walker Harl will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2013 at Burnt Prairie Cemetery in Burnt Prairie, Illinois with Brother Bill Harl, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 at the Pierre Funeral Home in Evansville, Indiana.
