Catherine B. (Wilkerson) Thomason

66 year old Fairfield resident, Catherine Thomason passed away early Thursday morning April 9, 2020 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Cathy was born June 15, 1953 in Fairfield, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Otis and Hazel (Garrett) Wilkerson.  Cathy married Dwain Thomason on January 31, 1970 in Fairfield and he survives. Cathy had worked as a clerk at Walmart for 15 years and was a member of New Beginnings Church in Fairfield.

Cathy is survived by her husband, one son, Jeremy (Andrea) Thomason of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and one daughter, Misty Thomason of Fairfield; Four grandchildren, Abby, Anna, Addie, and Josiah Thomason; two brothers, Jim (Towana) Wilkerson of Hartsville, Tennessee and Frank Wilkerson of Lincoln, Illinois; one sister, Lisa Venters of Fairfield. Preceding Cathy in death were her parents.

Cremation will be afforded and private graveside services will be held at a later date at Maple Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be left for the family at www.nalesfuneralhome.com. Memorials may be made in Cathy’s memory to the Little League Baseball Association and can be mailed to Nale’s Funeral Home of Fairfield who are assisting the family.
