50 year old Fairfield resident, Chance Berg passed away Monday afternoon, June 17, 2019 at his residence.
Chance was born April 5, 1969 to John B. Berg Jr. and Yvonne ‘Punky’ Shehorn Berg in Las Vegas, Nevada. On July 3, 2004, he married Mandy Rodgers at The Chapel of The West in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Chance owned and operated Mid-way Package Store with his brother J.T. for a number of years, he had also worked for Pollard Farms, in 2016 he and his wife, Mandy owned and operated Black’s Fashion Flower Shop for a year, and most recently he was a supervisor at Wal-Mart in Fairfield. He was a member of the Fairfield Elks Club.
He is survived by his wife, Mandy, two daughters, Kristen and Kate Wright of Fairfield; One brother, J.T. Berg of Fairfield, one nephew, Cooper Berg and two nieces Kennedy and Kirby Berg and their mother Megan Berg. Preceding him in death were his parents, Punky and John and his grandparents, Earl & Wilma Shehorn and Bernard & Viola Berg.
Funeral services for Chance Berg will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, June 20th at Nale’s Funeral Home with burial at Maple Hill Cemetery. George Thomason will be officiating. A visitation will be held Thursday 11:00 a.m. until service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Dr. Dennis Scranton Memorial Cancer Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
