Charles Allen “Charlie” Walker, 69, passed away at 2:30 p.m. Monday, July 18 at his home near Burnt Prairie. He was a life-long Burnt Prairie area resident and worked in various aspects of construction until his retirement.
Charles was born June 6, 1953 in Fairfield, IL to Charles P. and Veda Colleen (Coale) Walker.
He is survived by his loving partner of 15 years Kim “Buttercup” Feuquay, his son, Daniel (Erika) Walker of Columbus, OH, 2 grandchildren, Veda and Carson, 3 sisters, Teresa (Loyd) Young of Burnt Prairie, IL, Nancy (Robert) Blagg of Rockville, IN, and Jan (Mike) Hutson of Burnt Prairie, IL, 2 step-children, Kasi (Matt) Hall of McLeansboro, IL and Cody (Sammie) Etienne of Mt. Vernon, IL, 2 step-grandchildren Tucker and Talan and many special nieces and nephews. Charlie was blessed with many loyal and great friends.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Colleen, and an infant sister Sharon.
Funeral Services for Charles Allen Walker will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, July 22, 2022 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield. Visitation will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow in Burnt Prairie Cemetery.
