Claude F. Phillips

94 year old Fairfield resident, Claude F. Phillips passed away at 9:12 a.m. at Deaconess Regional Healthcare in Marion, Illinois on Friday, December 6, 2024.

Claude was born October 29, 1930 in White County, Illinois to Earl and Maude (Musgrave) Phillips.  Claude married Clarabelle Ewing on June 23, 1951.  They enjoyed 69 years together before her passing in 2020.  He worked for Airtex Products for several years as an Engineer.  

He enjoyed being a member of the Misfits Car Club.

Claude is survived by his children; Keith Phillips of Fairfield, Linda (Gordon) Simpson of Fairfield and Karen (Ron) Vest of Orchardville, 1 brother, Chester (Shirley) Phillips of Fairfield and a sister, Marilyn (Eldon) Niccum of Fairfield. 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Clarabelle, 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services for Claude F. Phillips will be 12:00 p.m.  Saturday,  December 14, 2024 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to service time at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
