Clyde C. Liston

78 year old Geff resident, Clyde C. Liston, passed away at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.

Clyde was born July 23, 1943 to Cecil A. and Mae (Smith) Liston in Geff, Illinois. He married Helen Lemke on December 31, 1986 at Geff.  Clyde was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Noble, IL. He had worked at Caterpillar as a mechanical engineer for several years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Liston, 1 son; Steven C. (Wendy) Liston of Cary, IL, stepson; Brad (Becca) Atteberry of Mt. Erie, IL, stepdaughter; Lori (Chris) Schmittler of Ellery, IL, brother; Clint (Mandy) Liston of Geff, IL, sister; Jacque (Jim) Tullis of Fairfield, IL, special friend, Kevin Penrod of Ottawa, TN, 3 grandchildren; Sara (Travis) Strubing, Casey Liston and Arin Liston and 4 step-grandchildren; Sommer Tennant, Jenna Atteberry, Malia Schmittler and Ty Schmittler, 2 great grandchildren; Madison & Penelope Strubing.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Stacey T. Liston.

A memorial service for Clyde C. Liston will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.  Memorials in his memory may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home.
