84-year-old former Fairfield, Illinois resident Clyde Rose of Heartland, Michigan died Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Michigan. Clyde was an assistant manager for A & P Grocery and later worked at Champion Laboratories retiring as a Quality Control Inspector. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church. Clyde was born June 8, 1929 in White County, Illinois to Raymond and Anna Turner Rose. He was united in marriage December 18, 1947 in Fairfield, Illinois to Delores Potts who died October 17, 2003. Survivors include a son Ron Rose and his wife Jan of Heartland, Michigan; a daughter Ramona Doty and her husband Ed of Fairfield, Illinois; a brother Lloyd Rose and his wife Peggy of Arlington, Texas; a sister Wilma Mossburger of Fairfield, Illinois; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Clyde was preceded in death by his wife and parents. Services for Clyde Rose will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, 2013 at the First Baptist Church of Fairfield, Illinois with Brother Bennie Tomberlin officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery of Fairfield, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home of Fairfield, Illinois.
