David W. Lancaster

66 year old Fairfield resident, David W. Lancaster passed away at Aperion Care at 10:45 p.m. January 4, 2022.  David was born August 18, 1955 to Truman "Chic" and Rose (Wall) Lancaster in East St. Louis, Illinois.

David worked as a truck driver for Murphy's Trucking of Fairfield.  He enjoyed fishing, exploring in Garden of the Gods and spending time with his family.  He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.

David is survived by his daughter, Melissa Herrin of Fairfield, IL. 2 Brothers, 5 Sisters. 5 Grandchildren: Dillon Lee, Jaggar Owen, Hunter Owen, Heidi Herrin, and Riley Tatum. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter- Nicole Owen, and son-in-law Hayward Herrin Jr.

Cremation rites will be accorded and services will be held at a later date. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.nalesfuneralhome.com. Nale’s Funeral Home is assisting the family.
