Debra Jo (Bunnage) Garrett

69 year old former Albion, Illinois resident, Debra Jo (Bunnage) Garrett passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at her residence in Douglasville, Georgia.

Debra was born on August 22, 1954 in Fairfield, Illinois to Delbert and Phyllis Joan (Bruce) Bunnage. Debra married John Garrett on August 12, 1975 at the First United Methodist Church in Albion. She was a customer service representative for Caraustar Industries in Austell, Georgia. She was a member of the Provilion Church.   

Survivors include  her husband, John, of Douglasville, Georgia, 1 son; Kyle ( Libby) Garrett of Cumming, Georgia, 1 grandson; Bryson Garrett, 1 sister; Shirley (Tom) Walters of Fairfield and 2 nephews; Kip and Kirk Walters, 1 niece; Megan Byrns and a sister in law; Edna Potter of Cowling, Illinois.

Preceding her in death were her parents, infant sister, LaDonna Jean and her step mother, Mary Louise Bunnage.

Funeral services for Debra Garrett will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois with burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday, at 12:00p.m. (noon) until service time.  Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society.
