Deloris J (Clevenger) Monroe

85 year old Barnhill resident, Deloris J. Monroe passed away 10:00 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Aperion Care.

Deloris was born January 8, 1934 in Barnhill, IL to Dave and Lizzie (Sork) Clevenger. She married Jack Monroe on December 27, 1951 in Fairfield and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2016.

Deloris retired from Airtex Products having worked in the fuel pump assembly department for several years.

Survivors include one daughter, Jackie (Tim) Schoenborn of Fairfield; two grandsons, Adam (Taleigh) Schoenborn of Barnhill and Joel (Nicole) Schoenborn of Fairfield and three great grandchildren Lexi, Emmalyn and Mason also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents, two brothers, Jack and Rod Clevenger and two sisters, Edna Hooper and Emma White.

A Graveside service will be held on Friday, November 8th, at 2:00 pm at Koontz Cemetery in Fairfield with Melissa Garrison officiating.  Friends and family are asked to go directly to the Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at the cemetery or Nale’s Funeral Home of Fairfield which is in charge of the arrangements.
