Dixie McClellan

70-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Dixie McClellan died Saturday morning, June 22, 2013 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in Fairfield, Illinois She retired from Airtex Products, Inc. in 2006 and was a member of the Holiness Rescue Mission. Dixie was born November 28, 1942 in Glasgow, Missouri to George F. Sr. and Dorothy Jenkins John. She was united in marriage October 19, 1959 in Paoli, Indiana to George L. McClellan who died February 20, 2005. Survivors include 3 daughters Debbie Sauls of Fairfield, Illinois, Dianna Harris of Cisne, Illinois, and Georgia Opell of Fairfield, Illinois; a brother Bill John of Armstrong, Missouri; 2 sisters Edith Shook of Seattle, Washington and Loretta Bias of Armstrong, Missouri; 8 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Services for Dixie McClellan will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois with Brothers Ron Mills and Dallas Johnston officiating. Burial will be in Koontz Cemetery of Fairfield, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois.
