82 year old former Fairfield, Illinois resident Doris (Files) Sheets passed away Monday, October 30, 2023 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri
Doris was born on July 11, 1941 to Willard and Helen (Trousdale) Files in Fairfield, Illinois. She married Ralph W. Sheets on May 20, 1989. Doris valued higher education, earning a PHD in economics. Doris retired from SMS University where she was a professor.
She is survived by her husband Ralph Sheets of Springfield, Missouri, 1 brother; Dennis (Ruth) Files of Wentzville, MO. a niece; Joni Amen of O’Fallon, MO, a nephew; Bryan Files of Wentzville, MO. 6 great nieces and nephews.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services for Doris F. Sheets will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 6, 2023 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, IL. Family and friends are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
