Dorothy Ellen (Dawsey) Rush

80 year old Springerton resident, Dorothy Ellen Rush passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN.

Dorothy was born December 21, 1941 to James H. and Dorothy L. (Files) Dawsey in Mill Shoals, IL. She married James Allen Rush and he preceded her in death August 28, 1992. Dorothy had worked at local area hospitals for many years as a nurse’s aide. She had attended Mill Shoals Gospel Assembly and Springerton Christian Church.

Survivors include her five children, one brother; James “Kenneth” Dawsey, a special friend; Maxine Winter of Springerton, IL and several cousins.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James and one son.

Graveside services for Dorothy Ellen Rush will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Hammack Cemetery in Springerton, IL. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Memorials will be accepted at Nale’s funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
