Dorothy Shur Obituary

96 year old Fairfield, Illinois resident Dorothy L. Shur died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, Illinois. She had worked at G.T.E., later moved to St. Louis and ran a diner. Then later moved to Clearwater, Florida and worked in a jewelry store before moving back to Fairfield

Dorothy was born April 28, 1921 in Mt. Pulaski, Illinois to James Robson and Chloe Hamilton Robson. She was united in marriage to Bob Shur.

Survivors include a brother Don Robson and his wife Jean of Fairfield, Illinois as well as several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and husband Bob.

The body is to be cremated with services to be conducted at a later date.
