Elizabeth Dunn Obituary

86 year old Fairfield resident, Elizabeth A. Dunn passed away Thursday afternoon September 10, 2020 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Elizabeth was born December 1, 1933 in Harrisburg, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Lowden and Neva E. (Downen) Pankey.  Elizabeth married Glenn Dunn in 1963 and he survives. She had worked several years for the Montgomery Ward store in Fairfield. She was a member of the Fairfield First Baptist Church and the DAR.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Glenn, one daughter, Marsha (Richard) Gibson of Carbondale, one son, Bruce (Lorna) Dunn of Belleville, two step children, Patti (Rick) Wecke of St. Louis, Missouri and David W. Dunn of Dallas, Texas; sister-in-law, Sharon Pankey of Denver, Colorado and one granddaughter. Preceding Elizabeth in death were her parents, son, Charles Ferrell and brother, Phillip Pankey.

Per the family’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 17, 2020 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield. Friends and family are to go directly to the cemetery. Memorials may be made in Elizabeth's memory to the Wayne County Humane Society or the First Baptist Church and will be accepted at the service or at Nale's Funeral Home.
