Evelyn E. (Mullinnax) Smith

93 year old Albion resident, Evelyn E. Smith passed away Sunday evening December 27, 2020 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.

Evelyn was born December 29, 1926 in Geff, Illinois.  She was the daughter of George A. and Gail (Barringer) Mullinnax. Evelyn married Clyde C. Smith on June 8, 1946 in Henderson, Kentucky.  Clyde preceded her in death on July 6, 1994.  Evelyn had worked for Johnny Manufacturing for many years before its closing.  She then went to work at Champion Labs before retiring.  She was a member of the Albion First Christian Church.

Evelyn is survived by, one son, Stan (Melissa) Smith of Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas;  and one daughter, Marilyn (Phillip) Frankland, of Penfield, New York; One grand daughter, Lydia (Matt) McClure;  One great grandson, Westley McClure.  Preceding Evelyn in death were her parents, husband, Clyde and one brother, George Hubert Mullinnax.

Graveside services for Evelyn E. Smith will be held Thursday, December 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Graceland Cemetery in Albion.  CDC recommendations of wearing masks and social distancing is encouraged.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.nalesfuneralhome.com.  Nale’s Funeral Home of Albion is in charge of arrangements.
