98 year old Helen G. Tribe of Albion, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 9, 2020 at Rest Haven Manor in Albion. Helen was born to Herbert and Gertrude (Waters) Tribe on October 26, 1921 in Albion. She graduated from Albion High School and briefly went out west to work in Washington State, later returning to Albion to work at Nale’s Funeral Home as their secretary in which she remained a dedicated employee for 65 years. Helen was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Albion and a beloved friend to many.
Left to cherish many precious memories is one sister, Emily Mounts of Hammond, Louisiana, several nieces and nephews, and special friends Kent and Sue Nale. Preceding Helen in death were her parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Graveside services for Helen Tribe will be held Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10:30am at Graceland Cemetery in Albion. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be directed to the Edwards County Senior Citizens and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion who are in charge of the arrangements.
