78 year old Albion, Illinois resident Jackie "Jack" Snidle died at 12:15 a.m. Sunday March 25, 2018 at Helia Health Care in Olney, Illinois. He was retired from Champion Laboratories as manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Jack was a member of the Albion Moose Family Center #621. He was honored with a Pilgrimage Degree and was honorary past president of the Illinois Moose Association. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and member of the Hermitage Lodge #357 of Albion and member of the Ainad Temple. Jack was a lifetime member of the Mt. Carmel Elks Club.
Jack was born September 4, 1939 in Edwards County, Illinois to John "Raymond" Snidle and Hazel Penrod Snidle. He was united in marriage November 2, 1958 in Edwards County, Illinois to Joyce Weber.
Survivors include his wife Joyce Snidle of Albion, Illinois; a son Raymond Snidle and his wife Cindy of Newton, Illinois; 3 daughters Elaine Hartsock of Vincennes, Indiana, Aline Berger and her husband Kevin of Albion, Illinois and Marjorie Coleman of Albion, Illinois; 2 brothers Dr. Will Snidle and his wife Judy of St. Louis, Missouri and Seaton Snidle and his wife Laurie of Albion, Illinois; 9 grandchildren Stephen Hartsock of Vincennes, Indiana, Emily Rose Kuykendall and husband Danny of Grayville, Illinois, Erin MacSaveny and husband Tim of Morogoro, Tanzania, Kathy Thornburg and husband Troy of Matthews, Indiana, Sarah Fehrenbacher and husband Ryan of Olney, Illinois, Jessica Wells and husband Jesse of Vincennes, Indiana, John Snidle of Paris, Illinois and Kelly Fletcher of Newton, Illinois; and 15 great grandchild.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Howard Henry, an infant son Nathan Ethridge, and a son-in-law Rudy Coleman
Funeral services for Jack Snidle will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Thursday March 29, 2018 at the West Village Christian Church in rural Albion, Illinois with Brother John Bogle officiating. There will be a Moose ceremonial service preceding the funeral service. Burial will be in the West Village Cemetery in rural Albion, Illinois.
Visitation will be conducted from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday March 28, 2018 at the church with a Masonic Service to follow.
Memorials may be made to the West Village Cemetery Fund and the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and envelopes will be available at the church or Nale's Funeral Home in Albion.
