James Glenn Dunn

93 year old Fairfield resident, James Glenn Dunn passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Community Living Center in Marion, Illinois

Glenn was born January 23, 1930 in Cypress, Illinois to Otis V. and Lillie (Johnson) Dunn.  He married Elizabeth Pankey in  January 1963.  She preceded him in death on September 10, 2020.

He had worked as in Insurance Agent for several years. He had also previously been a teacher and a coach, having taught a various schools including Fairfield.He was a member of First Baptist Church and VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include 2 Sons: Bruce (Lorna) Dunn- Belleville, Illinois & David W. Dunn of Dallas, Texas, 1 Daughter:  Patti (Rick) Wecke- St. Louis, Missouri. 1 step daughter:  Marsha (Richard) Gibson of Edwardsville, Illinois, 1 Sister: Dorothy Kelley of Vienna, IL  2 Grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter, 2 Great-Grandchildren, Several Nieces and Nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 Brothers, 5 Sisters

Funeral services for James Glenn Dunn will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Nale’s Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery with Full Military Rites conducted by American Legion Post 176 and Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to service time at Nale’s Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Carmi Baptist Children’s Home and will be accepted at Nale’s
