Jerry Lee Rockett

70-year-old Burnt Prairie, Illinois resident Jerry Lee Rockett died at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Linda White Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana. He was retired from Airtex Products in Fairfield, Illinois. Jerry was a member of the Burnt Prairie C.P. Church, the Carmi American Legion Post and was currently serving as a member of the Burnt Prairie Town Board. Jerry served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Jerry was born August 3, 1947 in Burnt Prairie, Illinois to John Rockett and Edna Grace Casebier Rockett.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Annie Garza of Burnt Prairie, Illinois; two children, Denise Spencer and her husband Rob of Grayville, Illinois and Pete Garza and his wife Kristi of Grayville, Illinois; special grandchildren, Gabrielle Spencer and Austin and Cardero Garza; a sister, Judith Gream and her husband Terry of Burnt Prairie, Illinois; a niece, Starla Gwaltney and her husband David; a great nephew, Luke Titzer and his wife Beth and two great-great nephews, Reily and Tylan Titzer.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services for Jerry Lee Rockett will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Burnt Prairie Cemetery with Brother Scott Smothers officiating. Full military rites will be conducted.

There will be no visitation. Those attending the service should go directly to the cemetery.
