Joe Phillips

82 year old Fairfield resident, Joe Phillips, passed away at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN on Monday, August 8, 2022.

Joe was born October 2, 1939 to Herman W. and Iva Veda (Musgrave) Phillips in Burnt Prairie, Illinois. He married Wanda Felix on December 1, 1962 in Olney, IL.  Joe was a member of the Church of Christ in Fairfield. He had worked at Wayne
White Electric for 28 years before retiring in 2005. Joe was also a former member of the Little Egypt Car Club and The Early Ford 8 club.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Phillips of Fairfield, 2 sons; Tim Phillips of Evansville, IN, Jason Phillips of Fairfield, 2 daughters; Barbie(Clay) Richards of Fairfield & Debbie (Mark) Fore of La Grange, Georgia, 2 sisters; Bertha Parks and Jane Tullis both of Decatur, IL, 7 grandchildren; Nathan (Sarah) Fore, Jordan Fore, Molly Fore, Evan Richards, Sarah (Chris) Lasher, Sabria Phillips, Isaiah Phillips and 2 great grandchildren; Lilly and Noah Fore.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 daughter, Sandra.

Funeral services for Joe Phillips will be held at Nale’s Funeral Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time.  Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery.
