John Robert Griswold

47 year old Fairfield resident, John Robert Griswold passed away in Lawrence, Michigan from a tragic drowning accident  on Thursday, April 3, 2025.

John was born in Festus, Missouri on July 15, 1977 to Robert Lynn Griswold and  Marcella Brooks. John was known for his love of nature, his pranks, his boisterous spirit and his acceptance of others.  He loved his family, friends, music, good discussions and taking risks into the unknown.

John is survived by his son; Atreyu Griswold, his mother and father; Marcella Brooks and Robert L. Griswold. one sister; Judy Mosley. nieces and nephew; Johnathan Mosley, Julia Mosley and Katie Mosley.    

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Carl and Lia Allen and Charles and Ruby Griswold.

A Celebration of Life service for John Robert Griswold will be held, 1:00 p.m.  Wednesday,  April 16, 2025 at the Wayne City Christian Church with Bro. Steve Griswold officiating. Burial will be at a later date.  Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
