John I Lundmark

87 year old retired Edwards County Judge John I. Lundmark of Albion, Illinois died at 9:50 p.m. Friday January 26, 2018 at Rest Haven Manor in Albion, Illinois. John served 2 terms as Edwards County Judge. Was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Albion and was the former chairman of the Administrative Board. John was a former member of the Grayville Lions Club, the Albion Rotary, Ruritan Club, Edwards County Ambulance Board of Directors, and the Southeastern Illinois Counseling Center Board of Directors. He also was a past member of the Illinois Judges Association. John served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.

John was born December 8, 1930 in Harvey, Illinois to Harry M. Lundmark and Lillian Reynolds Lundmark. He was united in marriage September 18, 1954 in Des Plaines, Illinois to Mary Ehrlich.

Survivors include his wife Mary Lundmark of Albion, Illinois; 2 sons Craig Lundmark of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Bruce Lundmark and his wife Dr. Konnie Wendt of Akron, Ohio; a daughter Cathy Lundmark and her husband Dr. Gregory Ruiz of Galesville, Maryland; and a grandson Trevor Ruiz.

John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Shirley Kipley and a son David.

The body is to be cremated with services to be held at a later date.
