86-year-old Lincoln, Illinois resident Juliett "Judy" Pierson Thompson died 12:05 p.m. Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at her residence. Judy worked for 28 years at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in housekeeping and laundry departments. She also worked in environmental services at Lincoln Christian College. Judy was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and the Christian Corner Bible Class. Judy was born January 3, 1927 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Stanley Pierson and Brittie Thompson. She was united in marriage March 10, 1941 in Lawrenceville, Illinois to Herschel Thompson, Sr. who died December 4, 2001. Survivors include 3 sons Jim Thompson and his wife Barbara of Ellery, Illinois, S.L. Thompson and his wife Jane of Lincoln, Illinois and Herschel Thompson and his wife Debbie of Springfield, Illinois; 2 brothers Alfard Pierson of St. Louis and David Pierson and his wife Jean of Bridgeport, Illinois; 2 sisters Ethel Floy Smith of Portage, Indiana and Geraldine York of St. Francisville, Illinois; 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 2 step great grandchildren. Judy was preceded in death by her husband, parents, 1 son, 1 brother and 1 sister. Services for Juliett "Judy" Pierson Thompson will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Little Prairie Christian Church located west of Albion, Illinois with Brother Tom Cater officiating. Burial will be at the Orio Cemetery west of Allendale, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1200 Noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 12, 2013 at the church. There will also be a visitation in Lincoln, Illinois at the Lincoln Christian Church on Tuesday September 10, 2013 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 6:00 p.m.
