Kathleen M. (Wheeler) Cropper

72 year old Fairfield resident, Kathleen Cropper passed away at the home of her daughter in Flora, Illinois on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

Kathleen was born on September 9, 1951 in Fairfield, Illinois to William “Bus” and Georgia (Tate) Wheeler. Kathleen married Geoffrey Cropper on November 22, 1986 in Fairfield, Illinois.

Geoffrey preceded her in death on April 5, 2010.

Kathleen worked at Fairfield Memorial Hospital in the House Keeping Department for over 40 years before retiring.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter; Shelly (Roy) Cline of Flora, her son; Corey Cropper of Harvey, Illinois and 2 step sons; Rondell Cropper of Florida and Sam (Roxanne) Wilborn of Fairfield, Illinois. 2 sisters; Carol Wheeler of Fairfield and Barbara McKean of Bossier City, Louisiana, 1 brother; Charles Wheeler of Omaha, Nebraska, 7 grandchildren; Brandon Cline, John (Melissa) Cline, Matt Cline, Garrett Joslin, Kaela (Nick) Marshall, Abby Cline and Colton Cline, several great grandchildren along with many nieces & nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister – Shirley Wheeler.

Funeral services for Kathleen Cropper will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 5, 2024 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield with burial in the Koontz Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday, 11:00 a.m. to service time. Memorials may be made to help with funeral expenses, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
