Kenneth R. Abby

72 year old former Albion resident, Kenneth R. Abby, passed away February 23, 2022 in Los Angeles, California. Kenny was born July 29, 1949 to William R and Bernice (Keener) Abby in Mt. Carmel, IL.

Kenny graduated from Eastern Illinois University. He worked as a union concrete finisher in the St. Louis area for several years. Kenny was a master gardener with flowers being his specialty. In 2017, Kenny traveled by train to Sana Monica Beach where he resided until his passing.

Kenneth R. Abby is survived by 3 children; Stacey, Cody and China, one sister; Sue (Kent) Nale of Albion, ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters: Bobbie Bevins and Kathy Abby.

Graveside services for Kenneth R. Abby will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Graceland Cemetery. Friends and family should go directly to the cemetery.
