85 year old St. Louis resident, Kyle L. Wallace passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, March 31, 2024.
Kyle was born on January 11, 1939 in Gary, Indiana to Robert and Anice (Foster) Wallace. He was raised in Danville, Indiana, before graduating Milligan College where he played college basketball. He held graduate degrees in epistemological questions within the philosophy of science from the University of Miami and University College London. Dr. Wallace was a college professor and subsequently editor of scholarly science books. His many and varied interests included music, especially jazz, classical and opera. He followed pro basketball and was an avid NY Yankees fan. He delighted in eating exotic cuisines and experiencing worldwide travels. He was a 40 year resident of his beloved New York City.
Survivors include his wife, Janie (Aman) Wallace, 1 daughter, Amanda Wallace of Westport, CT and grandsons, Ashby and Ansel. Preceding him in death were his parents, Robert and Anice Wallace and a son, Brett.
Graveside services for Kyle L. Wallace will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2024 at Maple Hill Cemetery. Friends and family are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
