Lary Arnold Roosevelt, 75 of Albion, passed away Friday, April 9,, 2022 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. Lary was born July 9th, 1946 to Harold and Edith (Duncan) Roosevelt.
As a result of an injury at birth, he was limited in his capability and lived with his parents most of his life. That didn't keep him from being a valuable addition to his family and community. He enjoyed life, was friendly and easy going and a fan of John Wayne and all other western movies. He enjoyed sports, especially football and baseball. He was known for his extensive collection of baseball cards that he purchased with money earned at the Career Development Center in Fairfield and for his love of hats and tee shirts, usually with a sports theme.
When his Father was unable to continue to care for him in his home, Lary resided at Rest Haven Nursing Home in Albion and most recently at Meadowbrook nursing home in Grayville. Lary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Albion.
Lary is survived by his brother, Gary Allen Roosevelt of Clearwater, Florida, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He is preceded by his parents and a brother, Harold Robert Roosevelt.
