21 year old Lauren K. Vaughan of Fairfield passed away Saturday morning, February 13, 2021. She was born February 18, 1999 in Mount Vernon, to Donald Koontz and Leslie Whitehead. Lauren enjoyed playing basketball while attending New Hope Grade School as well as all through her high school years. She graduated from Fairfield Community High School with the class of 2017. Lauren had worked at Champion Labs in Albion as a pleat operator. She enjoyed animals, especially dogs and horses.
Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her mother, Leslie Boles of Fairfield, father, Doug Scott of Fairfield, five brothers, Justin Medler of Fairfield, Isaac (Leah) Scott of Grayville, D.J.Vaughan of Fairfield, T.J. (Tara) Scott of Washington, Indiana, and Michael (Jessica) Scott of Xenia, Ohio; Uncle Robert (Kristi) Whitehead of Fairfield; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends including special aunt and uncle, Jane and Ray Lowery of Fairfield. Preceding Lauren in death were her father, Donald Koontz and her grandparents.
Graveside services for Lauren Vaughan will be held Monday, February 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Cemetery south of Fairfield. A visitation will be held at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield prior to the graveside from 10am until 1pm. Please follow the CDC guidelines of social distancing and the wearing of masks.
