88 year old Albion, IL resident, Vernon Lavelle Latting passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab Facility in Mt. Vernon, Indiana Lavelle was born on December 20, 1934 to Ardis and Alby (Melton) Latting in Independence, Arkansas He had been an Equipment Operator for 62 years. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Survivors include his 3 daughters; Kim (Phil) Roosevelt of Albion, IL, Leslie L. Jenkins of Fairfield, IL and Stacey (Andy) Tate of Grayville, IL. 1 Brother; A.L. Latting of White Oak, Texas5 Grandchildren; Marc Tate, Andrea Rhinehart, Matt Roosevelt, Natalie Maas, and Cody Bailey. 9 Great-Grand children; Kyla, Chase, Cole, Nolan, Parker, Cooper, Carter, Mack, and Dane.

1 Nephew; Jeff Latting of White Oak, Texas and 1 Niece; Connie Nichols of McGregor, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The body is to be cremated with a burial at a later date.
