69-year-old Albion, Illinois resident, Lawrence R. "Larry" Crawford died at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. He worked at various jobs, was an Army Veteran, and a member of the American Legion. Larry was born July 2, 1943 to Lawrence and Virginia Simmons Crawford in Evansville, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Delores Vaughn in 1988. Surviving are a son, Alan Lance Crawford; three step-sons, Les Richards of Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and Charles Richards and John Richards both of Albion, Illinois; one daughter, Lezlie Crawford; as well as several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services with full military rites for Lawrence R. (Larry) Crawford will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Wayne County with Brother Brad Garner officiating. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Delores. Nale's Funeral Home in Albion is in charge of the arrangements.
