88-year-old Albion, Illinois resident, Lewis D. (L.D.) Aulvin, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois. He was a retired employee of H & P Steel Fabrication. He served in the Army and was a member of the American Legion Post of Albion as well as the First United Methodist Church of Albion and the Masonic Lodge. L.D. was born June 8, 1923 in Albion, Illinois to Lewis G. & Mamie Bond Aulvin. He was united in marriage to Thelma Ruth Bowers on November 12, 1956 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Survivors include his wife Thelma Ruth Aulvin; a son Steve; as well as several nieces and nephews. His parents, 7 brothers and sisters preceded L.D. in death. A memorial service for Lewis D. (L.D.) Aulvin will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Albion with Pastor Pat Allin officating. Burial of ashes will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Albion, Illinois. Visitation will be Saturday, December 10,2011 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at First United Methodist Church of Albion.
