Linda Smothers Obituary

Linda J. Smothers, 76 of Fairfield, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Saturday, February 26, 2022 at
Meadow Brook Nursing & Rehab. In Grayville, Illinois. Linda had been a homemaker with
various jobs at Davis Convenience Store and Rides Mass Transit.

Linda was born February 3, 1946 to Raurel Daniel and Melinda Jane (Jones) McWilliams. She
married Shular Ray Smothers on May 2, 1964 in Galena, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Shular Ray Smothers, a daughter Niki (Jason)
Melton, son, Donnie (Kim) Smothers and a granddaughter, Kensey Smothers, all of Fairfield.
One brother, Danny (Richelle) McWilliams of Arkansas, and several nieces and nephews

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and beloved dog, Rose.

Per Linda’s request, her body has been cremated with a family graveside service at a later date.
