Lois Totten Obituary

79-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Lois A. Totten died at 11:58 a.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. She worked at Airtex Products, Inc. in Fairfield, Illinois before moving to Florida where she worked at J.C. Penney in the Credit Data Center retiring from there in 1994. Lois was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Lois was born March 3, 1934 in Geff, Illinois to Jefferson and Nellie Gray Jelley. She was united in marriage September 16, 1951 to Carl Thomason who died September 27, 1980. She married Neil Totten on March 4, 1994 in Longwood, Florida. Survivors include her husband Neil Totten of Fairfield, Illinois; two sons Steve Thomason and his wife Linda of Fairfield, Illinois and Brian Thomason of Clermont, Florida; three step daughters Sherry Fleming of Port Charlotte, Florida, Nancy Hixson of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Stacey Totten of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three sisters Eva Lane, Judy Jelley, and Velma Bunting all of Fairfield, Illinois, 4 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and 1 step great grandchild. Lois was preceded in death by her first husband, parents, and 5 brothers. Services for Lois A. Totten will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois with Rev. Charlie McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery at Fairfield, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois. Memorials may be made to the Dr. Dennis Scranton Memorial and envelopes will be available at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois.
