Marguerite E. Rude

90-year-old former Browns, Illinois resident, Marguerite E. Rude died at 6:55 a.m. Monday, January 30, 2017 at Cisne Rehab and Health Care Center in Cisne, Illinois. She had been Executive Director of the Edwards County USDA office, retiring after 30 ½ years. She was a member of the Browns Christian Church and Browns Home Extension.

Marguerite was born May 14, 1926 in Evansville, Indiana to William Edwards Newport and Magalene Griswold.

Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte Barclay and husband Ray of Riverton, Illinois and Donna Dinsmore and husband Mike of Fairfield, Illinois; a brother, William E. Newport of Biloxi, Mississippi.; five grandchildren, Tami Jackson and husband Tim of Sullivan, Missouri., Scott Shriver and wife Sheri of Riverton, Illinois, Lori Noe and husband Roger of Wayne City, Illinois, Matthew Dinsmore and wife Cristen of Flora, Illinois and Heather Owen and husband Ben of Fairfield, Illinois; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Marguerite was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services for Marguerite E. Rude will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois with Brother Glenn Jackson officiating. Burial will be in West Village Cemetery.

Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4,2017 at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion.
