Marilyn R. (Vaughan) Rahn

Marilyn R. Rahn, age 57, of Dix passed away peacefully early Monday morning, June 7, 2021 at her residence.

Marilyn was born in Aurora on July 18, 1963 to Pleasant and Frances (Robertson) Vaughan. Marilyn married Raymond Rahn on June 29, 1982 in the small community of Hord. They have enjoyed building their life and family together for nearly 39 years. Marilyn had many talents, from crocheting, sewing, painting, and even writing poetry; however, it was her children and grandchildren that gave her the greatest joy.

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband, Raymond, two sons, Timothy and wife Reva Rahn of Dix and Matthew Rahn of Chester; three daughters, Ashley Simpson of Flora, Josephine and husband Chris Stuckey of Dix, and Sasha Rahn of Centralia; one sister, Amanda Vaughan of Dix; four brothers, Tracy Vaughan of Dix, Douglas Vaughan of Antioch, Michael and Stephen Vaughan of Fairfield; fifteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Preceding Marilyn in death were her parents.

A visitation for Marilyn Rahn will be held on Friday evening, June 11, 2021 from 5pm to 7pm at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield. Memorials may be made in memory of Marilyn to the family for the grandchildren’s education and will be accepted at the funeral home. No formal services are to be held.
