Mary "Marge" Brock

91 year old Fairfield, Illinois resident, Mary "Marge" Brock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi, Illinois. Marge had worked at the Wayne County Press in Fairfield for over 50 years as the Society Editor. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. Marge was known for her quick wit and love for crossword puzzles, writing and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Marge was born to Earl & Mozella (Venters) Wilson on November 23, 1926 in Fairfield, Illinois. Marge was married to Carlson Brock on October 4, 1953 in Decatur, Illinois. Marge & Carlson had 2 son, Jerry & Jim. Carlson passed away January 8, 2011.

Surviving Marge included 2 Sons - Jerry Brock of Fairfield, Illinois and Jim Brock and his wife Cheryl of Houghton, Iowa; 1 Brother Russell Wilson of Fairfield, Illinois; and 2 Grandchildren - Jeremy & Claire.

Preceding Marge in death were her parents and husband.

Funeral services for Marge Brock will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield with Melissa Garrison officiating. Visitation will also be Monday, July 30 starting at 10:00 a.m until time of services. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield.
