Mary K. Masters

88-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Mary K. Masters died at 8:35 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at Wayfair Restorium in Fairfield. She was a homemaker and a volunteer worker for the American Red Cross. Mary was born April 23, 1924 in Norris City, Illinois to Charles and Bertha Bruce Smith. She was united in marriage to Ralph Neil Masters in November 1943 at Effingham, Illinois. Survivors include a son Mike Masters and his wife Linda of Malvern, Ohio; a daughter Mary Jean Preston and her husband Jim of Scio, Oregon; as well as 2 grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her husband on March 18, 1968, her parents, 1 sister and 7 brothers. Services for Mary K. Masters will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois with Brother Carroll Kakac Scott officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home of Fairfield.
